Bulgaria enjoyed high interest from foreign businesses since the beginning of 2007, Sofia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) representative Emil Popov said.

SCCI marked with a press conference its second anniversary since it started working again, Bulgarian news agency (BTA) reported.

 The chamber had an important role in the implementation of successful business projects, Popov said. It will aid Bulgarian companies prepare projects and apply for EU funds. The aim will be reaching 50 per cent fund utilisation level, Popov said.

Over 100 of the biggest companies in Bulgaria are members of SCCI and their turnover makes SCCI the largest business organisation in Bulgaria, BTA reported.
